Read the notes behind a compatibility indicator
Can I use provides browser support tables for web features. Examine target versions and partial-support notes. A global indicator does not replace tests of your implementation.
- Feature
- Find the precise behaviour you intend to use.
- Versions
- Read the browsers and versions concerned.
- Notes
- Check restrictions, prefixes or partial support.
- Percentage basis
- The usage table is based on StatCounter; mobile versions include extrapolations. This context explains a global indicator but does not automatically describe the browsers used by your own service’s audience.
- Test scope
- Retain the feature link and consultation date alongside the target browsers. Prepare a case using real content and a fallback behaviour; a global statistic does not determine the quality of that user journey.
- Usage-share source
- The usage table uses StatCounter GlobalStats. These shares do not automatically describe your own visitors: compare them with your audience and supported versions.
Source: Can I use — Browser usage table · consulted on - Browsers outside the tables
- A section lists browsers measured by StatCounter that are not included in the support tables. A missing column therefore does not establish that there are no users.

Does a green cell guarantee my interface works?
No. The table describes the feature; test your code, interactions and accessibility.
